The government today is expected to
announce those who have submitted an expression of interest in the privatisation
of Malta Shipyards. The privatisation process involves a number of players in
Malta and is one of the largest privatizations projects to be undertaken by
government.
Malta Shipyards incorporates four
major business activities including a super yacht maintenance facility and ship
yard repair and maintenance facility. Finance Minister Tonio Fenech has stated
that interest in the project has come from as many as 14 international entities
including American and Norwegian companies. |
